Open in april 2006 in the district Palais-Royal of Paris,

Zen Restaurant offers you a japanese traditional and seasonal food.

Two different atmospheres :

FOR LUNCH : THE JAPANESE CANTEEN

Adapted for lunch time with reasonable costs, you can taste our typical food like bento, donburi, japanese curry, grilled fish.

We also propose to you sushi, maki and sashimi made by our sushi master.

And according to local and seasonal products, every day our chefs cook a new menu.

No booking possible for lunch.

FOR DINNER : LITTLE JAPANESE DISHES

In the evening, in a warm atmosphere our restaurant propose many types of japanese food.

In addition to our menus, everyday the chefs suggest you to taste some new dishes. Made with seasonal products, “Les suggestions du Chef” are perfects to discover the diversity and the tastiness of japanese food（Isakaya style – like tapas in spain）.

And to finish this tasty moment we also have delicious pastries influenced by french patisserie with typical japanese flavor.

We are also proud of our large choice of sake, beer, shochu, whisky, etc. in addition to our wine list.

The evening, we accept reservation.

Born in 1976 in Shiga.

Passioned about cooking, Mitsuru Yamada decided to stop the university to work in a restaurant. He found a work in Kanazawa. After 10 years, he met Mr Zen Okawa who asked him to join the『Zen』team as chef.

Mitsuru Yamada accepted because he saw an opportunity to discover the richness of French cuisine.

After 3 years, in order to discover other type of food and getting better, he decided to work in others restaurant as Japanese and French. He searched to understand the differences of taste between this two cultures. Then he came back to『Zen』in 2015.

His message : « I wish people have fun to discover new flavours. »
